See how we helped raise $50k for the Hutt Street Centre for the Homeless

Once again we are so proud to let you know that we have again been involved in raising over $50k for the Hutt Street Centre for the homeless. Some of you may remember from last year that both Julie and myself are members of the 'Willunga Wanderers' (Jules is the team leader). This group started out about 5 years ago - originally with just 4 blokes (my husband being one) walking from Willunga to the Hutt Street Centre in the city (around 50kms) to raise money and awareness for the wonderful work that the Hutt Street Centre do in assisting the homeless. Over the years, the group has grown with more walkers each year making the long trek to the city. This year we are super proud to have raised over $50k which is a whopping achievement. Our 'dance a mile' fundraiser (held at Wirra Wirra again thanks to their amazing generosity) with the wonderful band 'FULL CIRCLE' (seriously amazing blokes who generously donate their time - thanks so much guys we couldn't do it without you) raised around $16k. In addition individual walkers raised around $33k in sponsorship PLUS we raised $2k from 'pie of the month' (Homegrain Bakery & Southgate Property Management donated $1 for every pie sold). A big well done to all of us involved what a great effort. We look forward to doing it all again next year!
