West Beach's white sands, coastal flora and wetlands are notable features - the beach is generally popular in summer.

Transport

The suburb is serviced by the following roads; Tapleys Hill Road (running north-south from Queenstown to Glenelg), Sir Donald Bradman Drive (running east-west between the City of Adelaide and West Beach), Burbridge Road.

Public transport is provided with buses run by Adelaide Metro.

Adelaide Airport is in the adjacent suburb (also named Adelaide Airport) and is the major airport hub for domestic and international flights. It is also used for private aviation.
