Christie Downs is a southern suburb of Adelaide, adjacent to Christies Beach, Noarlunga Centre, Morphett Vale and Lonsdale.
It is bounded by Christie Creen in the north, the Southern Expressway in the east, Beach Road in the south and Dyson Road in the west.

History
The area was named after Lambert Christie, who was one of the original European settlers in the area. The are continued to be mainly farming land until the late 1950s when large portions were purchased by the South Australian Housing Trust. Since then the suburb has steadily grown to have almost 2500 households.
Transport
The suburb has a railway station, which is on the Seaford railway line.
