Towards Home Alliance Pilot Program to Assist 'At Risk' renters
by Rebecca Day in Latest News
Trove Property Management are so pleased to announce we are involved in a Private Rental Pilot program run by the Toward Home Alliance that is a focused government funded initiative aimed at preventing homelessness by identifying tenancies who may be 'at risk' of termination, with the aim of early intervention to resolve tenancy issues, keeping tenants in the private rental space.
The pilot will run from July 1st – mid December, with the goals of:
- Improving supports for people in private rental accommodation.
- Preventing people exiting private rental into homelessness.
- Supporting rapid re-entry into the private rental market.
- Providing education to local real estate agents on available supports for people whose tenancies are at risk.
Kelly Walsh and the Team from Mission Australia have been carrying out wonderful services, meeting with at risk tenancies and identifying early intervention strategies such as assisting tenants to register and access appropriate government support services such as my aged care, NDIS support (which may provide cleaning or gardening services), assist or provide financial support and or counselling, educational assistance on tenancy obligations, assistance with tenancy applications and much more! These support services are prompt and aimed at addressing and proactively resolving a range of tenancy issues to prevent tenancy termination and homelessness.
